Bathhouse Row
No trip to Hot Springs is complete without a stroll down Bathhouse Row. This iconic stretch of eight stunning historic bathhouses sits right in the heart of Hot Springs National Park, and each one has a story to tell. The Buckstaff Bathhouse still offers traditional thermal bath experiences, the Fordyce serves as the National Park visitor center with a fascinating self-guided tour, and the Superior Bathhouse Brewery is the only brewery in the world that brews its beer with natural thermal spring water. It’s history you can actually soak in.
The Ohio Club
Open since 1905, The Ohio Club is one of the oldest bars in Arkansas, with a history that includes visits from the likes of Al Capone and Bugsy Siegel. Today it’s a lively restaurant and bar featuring live music most nights of the week, made-from-scratch burgers, and a beautiful 19th-century mahogany bar that makes the whole place feel like a step back in time. It’s a Hot Springs classic you won’t want to miss.
The Pancake Shop
A Hot Springs institution open since 1940, The Pancake Shop is one of the oldest family-run restaurants in the state. Fresh-squeezed orange juice, scratch-made pancakes, homemade sausage, and bottomless coffee are on all tap. Get there early on weekends, because word travels fast about a place this good.
