Hot Springs Campground & RV Park near Gulpha Gorge, AR

Nonna and family are the best! We are permanent residence in one of the cabins. Campground is clean and the views are amazing. This campground is quiet, close to downtown, and the other campers are friendly.

The owners are kind, responsive, and it feels like a mom and pop kinda campground (in the best way). It’s small(ish) and quiet which is nice! Located right off the main road and close to everything in Hot Springs. There is a little trail in the back you can walk your dog. There is a laundry area that has 2 washers and 2 dryers (quarter machine – they can get you quarter in front office) and a men’s and women’s bathroom that have 1 shower and 1 bathroom each (I think.. I’ve only been in women’s but assuming it’s the same). I didn’t use water and only used 12V plug in worth of power but they have 30amp and 50 amp plug ins.

The campground is a great location to use as a home base if you plan on visiting crystal mines.

I am leaving five stars only because the owner offered to make things right and did refund one night of our stay. We went ahead and left early though and moved to another location to better enjoy the last days of our vacation, that was intended to be ‘camping’. The website lists amenities but needs to clarify “UPON REQUEST”, our site had no picnic table, no fire pit and we ended up with the most unusual setup for sewer where it was impossible to setup towards the back of the spot because things don’t drain uphill. The water and sewer are higher than the camper level and required us being directly in front of the connection 🤦🏼‍♀️. The park is a mixture of tiny homes (I wouldn’t call them cabins) and what appears to be a lot of long term renters. Everyone near our site definitely appears to be permanently living there. The website speaks of a community center with a pool table but when inquiring how to access that is only available during office hours so there’s no enjoying dinner and then relaxing in the community center for a few games of pool. Circumstances could have been different had the owner been available to allow us special hours but she was out of town and not there during our stay. BUT again, she was very nice and understanding of my disappointments and for that I can give the five stars. The experience was just not what we were expecting and we felt a bit mislead by the website information and photos. I would not call the facility a “campground” for travelers looking for camping experiences but if you need an RV park for just passing through or for long term stays, this would be a great spot for those needs. (Just don’t get spot 7 unless you know how to drain sewer uphill or wanna balance rocks to make the right flow from your drain lol)

This was exactly what we needed. Easy access off the highway, clean, safe. And close to everything!

We camped here for 2 nights while exploring Hot Springs NP. Great location, friendly host and quiet setting. Would camp here again!

This is a great park, only 5 minutes from downtown Hot Springs. Paved asphalt roads and gravel pads. Will stay again

The management was so helpful and nice!! We stayed for a week and the place is very close to downtown. Showerhouse/ bathrooms nice and clean. Well kept.

After we left Hot Springs campgrounds the bar has been placed so high, we compare every other campground to this one. Friendly people, clean facilities and we will definitely be back.
